You can feel the wingbeat of history and here you will be impressed by the many well-preserved buildings that have been spared from fires. From Assens you can take the ferry for a day trip to the picturesque island of Baagø to enjoy the beautiful nature and the atmospheric marina. Assens is surrounded by a beautiful hilly landscape. The Helnæs peninsula is located just a few kilometers south of Assens, here you will find unspoiled nature, ideal if you like fishing or hiking. With a well-packed picnic basket and your bicycles you can also reach the beautiful island of Assens by ferry, an ideal destination for a day trip.
