Lild Strand is one of the few places on the coast where fishing with fishing boats and small boats directly from the beach is still possible. Occasionally it is possible to buy freshly caught fish on the beach when the boats are pulled ashore. The old warehouses on the waterfront are now used for living and as a church. Much has been done to place the cottages appropriately so that they fit well into the area, which is characterized by scenic, protected heath and dune areas.
