The Süssau beach is a long natural beach. Please note that most of the beach is also open to dogs. It is located in the "fair weather corner" of Ostholstein near the island of Fehmarn. For anglers, the beach offers a unique sea trout stretch.

Should the weather not play along, the surrounding area offers many worthwhile excursion destinations: including the Schleswig-Holstein Lake District, the Hansapark in Sierksdorf and the island of Fehmarn with a shark and marine centre, a donkey park and 'Noah's Ark'.
