Description

The newly built, comfortable and disabled-friendly vacation home Lara is located directly on the city limits of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bamberg, which is easily accessible by bike, city bus or on foot. It is very quiet and close to nature, yet within 700 m there is a supermarket, bakery, butcher, beverage market, restaurant and indoor swimming pool.Schloss Seehof with its park and lakes is 10 min walk away. The rooms are all free of thresholds and spacious with extra wide doors, living and dining room, about 40 square meters, with a sofa bed 120x215 m, the two bedrooms, each about 20 square meters, with a box spring bed 180x200 m and TV, each with its own bathroom, about 12 and 13 square meters, and very large barrier-free showers (one of them additionally with bathtub). The kitchen includes all major appliances, such as stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator , freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, etc. . Towels and bed linen are included and are changed 1x per week. Of course there is also a washing machine. In the beautiful garden with large, fully furnished terrace (partly covered) you can relax your eventful day.

Enjoy the Franconian hospitality with the world-famous Rauchbier or a delicious meal in one of the many small breweries with their own beer cellar, as we call the beer gardens.
Countless cycling and hiking trails with many sights invite you to discover. For example, Vierzehnheiligen, Banz Castle, the Giechburg, the Paradiestal, the thermal springs in Bad Staffelstein and, of course, our Altenburg in beautiful Bamberg can be reached by e-bike. Because of the convenient location of Lichteneiche, day trips to Nuremberg, Coburg, Bayreuth, Würzburg, Franconian Switzerland, the Fichtel Mountains or even the Czech cities of Karlovy Vary, Marienbad, Franzensbad and Loket are feasible without a longer journey time. We are located directly on the Castle Road and on every excursion there is a castle or a palace along the way that wants to be discovered.

The leisure activities range from several golf courses, bouldering hall, bowling, miniature golf, horseback riding, tennis, cinema, ice skating rink, adventure and swimming pools to adventure parks, summer tobogganing, climbing forest and boat tours. In winter, the Krippenweg and the Christkindlesmarkt in Bamberg, a walk through ripened forests and meadows, or, depending on the weather, groomed cross-country ski trails in the Paradiestal and downhill skiing in the Fichtelgebirge attract visitors.

Culture is also not neglected with theater performances, Calderon Festival, concerts of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Luisenburg Festival and the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth.
