There are also several nature reserves in the vicinity of Solbacka, and there are many gems to discover among the small lakes. The Herröknanäs nature reserve by Lake Misteln is home to centuries-old oak trees, rare animals and rich fauna, while the Putbergen nature reserve, which Carl von Linne visited in 1741, surprises with majestic 300-year-old pine trees. Right next to Solbacka is Dammhagen's swimming area for children and adults, with a sandy beach, jetties and a diving platform. It is also possible to hire a canoe for a trip on Kyrksjön.
