Description

Perhaps Bornholm's greatest attraction are the enormous granite cliffs rising dramatically from the sea and the large white sandy beaches on the south coast, which invite you to sunbathe and swim in summer and take a refreshing walk in the stiff breeze in autumn. Watch in the small cozy harbors how in the smokehouses the fresh herring becomes a 'smoked Bornholmer' and try the specialty 'Sol over Gudhjem' Sun over Gudhjem), where a golden smoked herring is served with capers, raw onions and an egg yolk. Bornholm is a mecca for anglers, who can expect unique experiences especially in autumn, winter and spring. This is because the geographical position of the island as well as its biological conditions create the conditions for all kinds of fishing.
