Particularly recommended excursion destinations in the region are the impressive Råbjerg Mile hiking dune, the Råbjerg Mose bird sanctuary, the Eagleworld eagle reserve, the Ålbæk dune plantation and, of course, the fascinating town of Skagen. In summer, you can pick up some great bargains at the Aalbæk market with its numerous stalls and musical performances. Outdoor enthusiasts should visit the protected nature reserves Åsted Ådal and Katsig Bakker.
